I made these pieces in the quiet moments — after the panic attacks, after years of chasing perfection, after the healing began. For most of my life, I carried chronic PTSD, anxiety, and depression in silence. I was the “good South Asian daughter” — polite, responsible, always smiling. But behind the calm exterior, I was breaking. I carried the weight of generational trauma and the pressure to always be “fine.”I didn’t know how to say no, how to ask for help, or how to choose myself. Until something ancient within me began to rise — the soft fire of Shakti, the voice of Devi. That awakening reminded me that I was never broken — only buried.
And from that moment of remembering, Sakti & Co was born.
